Background
At 12:30 a.m., a group of people returning home from a lodge meeting in Bay City, Michigan, noticed a large conical object approaching from the south. It slowly descended to about 50 feet above Center Avenue. A red light appeared at either end of a body estimated at 50 to 75 feet long, which shone with a dull red glow as if there were lights on its upper side. The object then moved away to the northeast. The case was reported the same day by the Saginaw Courier-Herald under the headline 'Air Ship a Reality'. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
