Background

Arthur León Campa, 12, and his friend Frank García were walking along what is now 4th Street near Menaul Boulevard in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when they saw two yellow lights halfway up a mountain east of the highway. Some minutes later the lights had moved to the base of the mountain and were moving slowly west. Later they rose about 50 feet into the air and approached the boys, but soon moved west toward the Rio Grande. The lights were about the size of a "harvest moon," always about 20 feet apart, and moved at about twice a man's walking pace. Eberhart cites Campa's own book Treasure of the Sangre de Cristos (University of Oklahoma, 1963). The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
