Background
On March 21, 1947, several witnesses in southern Sweden saw a cigar-shaped object with smoke coming from its tail. It flew slowly from east to west at considerable height. The object looked metallic and was about 60 feet long. It seemed to turn around and fly back eastward briefly. The New York Times reported the sighting the next day as the return of the “phantom bomb” over Sweden. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
