Pendleton, Oregon: Farmer sees hovering disc with two small figures beneath it
On the afternoon of June 24, 1947, farmer Bill Schuening saw a large disc hovering just above a field 25 miles north of Pendleton, Oregon, with two short figures in green suits standing beneath it.
Background
In the afternoon farmer Bill Schuening was driving his pickup truck on a remote rural road 25 miles north of Pendleton, Oregon, when he heard a loud humming sound. Coming over a rise, he saw a large disc-shaped object hovering 5–6 feet above a nearby field. Beneath it stood two short figures, about 3 feet tall, wearing green suits and white helmets. The figures suddenly vanished, and the craft shot towards the Columbia River, made a big circle and flew towards the mountains. The case was reported in the Klamath Falls Herald and News and repeatedly revisited by the Pendleton East Oregonian decades later. The account follows the entry in George M.
