Background

At 5:48 p.m. Warren Baker Eames was driving with his wife Alice on State Highway 2 near Gardner, Massachusetts. They saw a large, silvery, disc-shaped object in the sky ahead, moving west. As they watched, its nearest edge dipped down toward them. The object then accelerated in a sudden burst of speed to the west-northwest. Ted Bloecher listed the case in his report on the 1947 UFO wave. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
