On the night of 8 May 1948, a round object, apparently about 9 inches in diameter, was reported in Hobson, Middleport, Ohio. The Cleveland, Ohio, FBI office forwarded the report to the Eleventh Air Force in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The report is documented in a June 1948 letter from Lt. Col. H. B. Wax to the USAF Director of Intelligence and in the Air Force incident summaries contained in the PURSUE releases. The account follows the entry in George M.
