At 10:00 p.m. a huge green fireball with a red afterglow was seen streaking approximately 300 feet above the southern slope of Fejarito Mountain near Los Alamos, New Mexico. It disappeared behind the mountain. Another fireball was seen at 11:00 p.m., and further ones on the next two nights. Eberhart cites the NICAP 1949 UFO chronology and Sparks.
