Oak Ridge, Tennessee: Three women watch two rectangular objects and a disc for 15 minutes
On June 22, 1949, three women, among them a biologist at Oak Ridge and the wife of an AEC security officer, watched two coordinated rectangular objects and a circular object fly slowly over the center of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, for about 15 minutes.
Background
Three women, a schoolteacher, a biologist working at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and the wife of a member of the AEC Security Division at Oak Ridge, observed an odd trio of "flying saucers" for about 15 minutes. Two identical rectangular objects appeared coordinated in movement and moved in a wave-like motion. A circular object flew level between and above them. The rectangular objects appeared bright metal on top and dark underneath, while the circular object had the color of frosted glass. The formation flew at 10 to 15 mph over about the center of Oak Ridge and was last seen in level flight to the northwest under clear skies. Loren E. Gross quotes the report in his history of 1949. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
