On July 24, 1949, pilot Harry F. Clark encountered seven delta-shaped objects near his Piper Clipper at 19,000 feet northwest of Mountain Home, Idaho. His engine malfunctioned, and spark plugs were found burned out after landing.

On July 24, 1949 at 12:03, Harry F. Clark, head of a flight service, was flying a Piper PA-16 Clipper at 19,000 feet about 10 miles northwest of Mountain Home, Idaho. He observed a tight formation of seven triangular objects, 35–55 feet across, close to his aircraft.
Maneuvers and Effects
The objects executed a perfect right turn without banking, 1,500 feet ahead, then turned right again and overtook the aircraft at 450–500 mph. During the 10-minute observation Clark's engine ran roughly. After landing it emerged that all the spark plugs were burned out.
Investigation
The Air Force requested the spark plugs. The case is regarded as significant evidence for possible electromagnetic interference from UAP, supported by physical traces.
