Lago Argentino, Argentina: Rancher sees landed disc with four tall occupants
At 6:30 p.m. on March 18, 1950, rancher Wilfredo H. Arévalo at Lago Argentino, Santa Cruz, Argentina, watched a disc land while a second object hovered, and saw four tall men inside a central cabin.
Background
At 6:30 p.m. rancher Wilfredo H. Arévalo watched a disc-shaped object land while a second object "like a gramophone record" hovered above. He walked to within 500 feet of the object, which gave off a greenish-blue vapor and a smell of burning benzine. In a central cabin he saw four tall men dressed in something like cellophane; they noticed him and shone a searchlight at him. Flames shot from the base, the object rose with a faint hum, and both objects disappeared to the west. Arévalo found burnt grass. Eberhart notes a possible newspaper hoax. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
