Naval Air Station Dallas, Texas: Petty officer sees disc hover under a high-flying B-36
Shortly before noon on March 16, 1950, Chief Petty Officer Charley Lewis at Naval Air Station Dallas saw a flying disc buzz a high-flying B-36, hover under it and fly off.
Background
Just before noon Chief Petty Officer Charley Lewis saw a flying disc streak across the sky at Naval Air Station Dallas (later Grand Prairie Armed Forces Reserve Complex) near Dallas, Texas. It buzzed a high-flying B-36, hovered under the bomber for a moment, then flew off and disappeared. The station commander, Capt. Milton Adolphus Nation, vouched for Lewis and said that the base tower operators had seen a UFO ten days earlier. Fort Worth and Dallas newspapers reported the sighting on March 18, 1950. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
