Background

While working on her lawn in Canby, Oregon, Ellen Jonerson glanced at her neighbor's yard and saw a 12-inch-tall man with his back turned to her. When he turned around, she saw a heavily tanned face, a stocky build, overalls, a plaid shirt and a skullcap. She ran inside to call a friend and came out again in time to see the figure "waddling" away; he walked under a parked car and disappeared. Kenneth Arnold, who interviewed her, was convinced of her sincerity. Eberhart cites the Portland Oregonian of 6 September 1950 and the CUFOS HUMCAT index. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
