Background

At 3:50 p.m. on May 21, 1950, T/Sgt Edward Eles, Earl DuQuoin and four other airmen of the 187th Fighter Squadron of the Wyoming National Guard were on the airfield at the Municipal Airport in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They saw a V-shaped formation of four round, pure-white discs flying northward. Within seconds the objects changed formation, made a sharp right-angle turn, flew in single file and sped out of sight. The sighting was reported on the front page of the Wyoming State Tribune the next day. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
