The objects struck the water at tremendous speed. Two columns of water rose to a height of about 100 feet. No aircraft were sighted overhead. The incident was reported in Naval Aviation News in February 1951. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
