Holloman AFB, New Mexico: Bell engineers in B-50 see objects switch swirl and V-formation
On March 14, 1951, nine Bell Aircraft engineers flying at 15,000 feet in a B-50 Superfortress near Holloman AFB, New Mexico, saw a group of unknown objects alternate between a swirl and a V-formation at high speed.
Background
On March 14, 1951, a group of nine Bell Aircraft engineers was flying at 15,000 feet in a B-50 Superfortress near Holloman AFB, New Mexico, during a test of a secret Bell aircraft. They spotted a group of unknown objects flying in a confusing “swirl” that broke into a V-formation, returned to a swirl and then formed a V again. The objects were slightly higher than the aircraft and seemed to move at high velocity. The engineers insisted the objects were not geese, which can actually fly this high. Eberhart notes that this may be the same incident as the August 30, 1950, case at Holloman. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
