Dhahran, Saudi Arabia: USAF Brig. Gen. Day sees fast object split in two
At 9:20 p.m. on April 19, 1952, USAF Brig. Gen. Edwin M. Day, reclining on a patio in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, saw an object faster than a jet fly level at 10,000–20,000 feet, break into two parts and disappear to the north-northeast.
Background
At 9:20 p.m. USAF Brig. Gen. Edwin M. Day was reclining on a patio in Dhahran when he saw an object traveling parallel to the ground at a constant altitude, between 10,000 and 20,000 feet, and moving in his direction. Its speed was greater than a jet's. At one point it broke into two parts but kept its constant course. Day followed it visually for 5–6 seconds until it disappeared to the north-northeast.
