Jackson, South Carolina: DuPont workers at Savannah River plant see six glowing discs
At 10:45 p.m. on May 10, 1952, four DuPont employees at the AEC's Savannah River facility near Jackson, South Carolina, saw six luminous yellow-gold discs; the FBI investigated and passed the case to the Pentagon and the AEC.
Background
At 10:45 p.m. four employees of DuPont Corporation at the Atomic Energy Commission's Savannah River facility near Jackson, South Carolina, saw four disc-shaped objects approach, then two more discs pass high overhead from different directions. The objects were luminous yellow-gold and moved at high speed. One disc flew so low that it had to ascend to pass over tall tanks at the facility; one witness said the objects weaved left and right while keeping a steady course. The FBI investigated and passed the case to the Pentagon and the AEC. Tim Printy suggests the objects may have been birds lit by ground lighting. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
