Background

From 7:30 to 10:20 p.m., many witnesses at McChord AFB (now Joint Base Lewis-McChord) south of Tacoma, Washington, saw five or six yellowish discs. The objects were tracked by radar and by theodolite. Several F-94 interceptors were scrambled. NICAP lists the case as silver-yellow objects that stopped and started, and it appears among the Blue Book unknowns. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
