Background

At 9:00 p.m. Fairfax County patrolman James Murphy, A1c Mary Ann O'Connor, S/Sgt J. Sasser and Simon Thacker saw a red object south-southwest of Alexandria, Virginia. It hovered for 10 to 15 minutes, then disappeared silently to the west at high speed. The same night Alvin E. Moore, a supposed CIA agent and Navy commander, reported finding a stone near Vienna, Virginia, which he linked to an alleged incident in which a jet pilot shot at a UFO and knocked off material. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
