At 10:20 p.m. on July 22, 1952, a bluish-green UFO over Boston, Massachusetts, was picked up by GCI radar; an F-94 vectored toward it locked on with its own radar near Braintree, but the object easily left the jet behind.
Background
At 10:20 p.m. a bluish-green UFO was seen over Boston, Massachusetts, and a few minutes later it was picked up by GCI radar. Ground control vectored an F-94 toward the UFO; the pilot saw it near Braintree and locked on to it with his own radar. The object easily left the jet behind. The Air Force suspected that the object was a weather balloon released from Westover AFB near Springfield, Massachusetts. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
