On the evening of 14 August 1952, people on the docks of Philippeville (Skikda), Algeria, saw an enormous red disc with a greenish trail; two hours later two people in Constantine watched a fast luminous object.

At 7:20 p.m. people on the docks of Philippeville (modern Skikda), Algeria, saw an enormous red disc leaving a greenish trail behind it. At 9:15 p.m. two people in Constantine, Algeria, watched a luminous object flying at high speed and emitting a bright light. Eberhart cites the reports after Fawcett and Greenwood's Clear Intent.
