Belle Glade, Florida: Glowing circular object twice stampedes cows at experiment station
At 4:30 a.m. on September 14, 1952, Fred J. Brown at the Everglades Experiment Station in Belle Glade, Florida, saw a lighted circular object hover low; it twice stampeded the station's cows.
Background
At 4:30 a.m. on September 14, 1952, Fred J. Brown was preparing to milk the cows at the Everglades Experiment Station in Belle Glade, Florida, when he saw a circular object about 35 feet in diameter hovering about 100 feet above the ground, with red and amber lights around its rim and underside. As it descended to about 40 feet, the 13 cows bolted and the object disappeared to the west. While Brown rounded up the cows, it reappeared, moving south to north at about 30 mph with a high-voltage buzzing noise and an odor “like acid or ammonia” that made his eyes smart. The cows stampeded again; the object's glow lit the ground before it gained altitude and vanished. The Palm Beach Times reported the case on September 16, 1952. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
