On August 1, 1952, at 4:00 p.m., Henry Staley and three others at a General Electric plant in Cincinnati, Ohio, observed an oval object emitting a blinding light from the east. It hovered overhead, changed shape, and accelerated rapidly away.

Henry Staley, head of fire and safety at the General Electric Aviation Plant in Cincinnati, Ohio, was watching a small aircraft when he and three colleagues noticed a bright light to the east. It came from an oval object the size of the moon, which looked like burning magnesium. It drew a faint trail behind it without any sound.
Object Behavior
The object stopped abruptly above the plant for about 30 seconds, pulsated, and became elongated. George E. Kyle, a fire inspector, took it to be rotating. It accelerated slowly, looked like an egg, and disappeared over the horizon at 2–3 times the speed of a jet.
