Seymour, Indiana: Couple in a car watches two white rings with points of light
In December 1953 a civilian couple driving near Seymour, Indiana, watched two white, cloudy rings in staggered formation, each with four bright points of light, descend, hover and then leave toward the southwest at great speed without any sound. The exact date is not recorded.
Background
A UFOB report of January 13, 1954, from the 2466th Air Force Reserve Combat Training Center at Atterbury Air Force Base, Columbus, Indiana, describes two circular rings of a white, cloudy or gaseous substance, each with four bright, equidistant points of light rotating slowly clockwise, and a bluish-white, vapor-like trail compared to a jet take-off seen at night. The observers, traveling east by car and drawn by a brilliant moving light, saw the objects approach from the north in a steady descent, hover with complete level stability and then depart at an abrupt upward angle toward the southwest with a seemingly instantaneous surge to maximum speed, without any sound. They watched for about three to four minutes, five to six minutes in all including two moves of the car, between dusk and night at 00:02 to 00:08 UTC; because they could not remember the exact date, the weather section covers December 8–15, 1953, other air traffic could not be verified, and the date December 1, 1953, in the official metadata does not appear in the document. With no officer available, a staff sergeant prepared the report and noted that the story came to light only through the husband’s doctor and that the couple had told only three friends, to avoid ridicule, but firmly believed what they saw. The details are taken from records released by the U.S. Department of War in PURSUE Release 07 (record code DOW-UAP-D164) and do not represent an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
