Witnesses and Circumstances
Four US Army reconnaissance observers, among them the pilot Lt. Julius T. Morgan, Lt. James O. Rymus, and Lt. Jack E. Myers, were in two aircraft over communist-held territory in Korea on April 19, 1953 at 13:00. They spotted a white, rounded, delta-shaped object roughly 1.5 to 2 metres across.
Sighting and Movement
The object was travelling at 100 to 130 km/h on a vibrating flight path. It moved in the area around Old Baldy (Hill 266) and Pork Chop Hill. An official G-2 intelligence report documented the observation.
Radar Confirmation and Sources
Radar is said to have detected the object as well, at speeds beyond the sound barrier (over 1,230 km/h). The report rests on a G-2 document, newspaper articles, and NICAP clippings; Jennie Zeidman recalled it in IUR.
