Background
Three USAF Air Policemen, A/1C Mason W. Augst, A/1C George F. Wright and A/1C Elmer A. Cruver, were standing guard next to a hangar at National Airport in Washington, D.C. They saw a formation of two glowing white objects fly over the Capitol building. The objects appeared just above the horizon to the northeast in a straight line, made a 90Β° turn and moved away to the south. They reappeared twice more, at 1:15 a.m. and 2:10 a.m., and each pass took 45 seconds. Eberhart cites Brad Sparks' list of Blue Book unknowns, Frank Edwards and Loren E. Gross.
