Background
At 4:00 a.m., Pierre Lucas, a baker in Loctudy, Finistère, France, was drawing water from his well when he saw a UFO hovering nearby. A small being came out of the object; it had an oval head covered with hair and large eyes. The creature touched Lucas's shoulder and spoke to him in an unknown language. When Lucas called for his boss, the creature ran back into the object, which took off. Time and Life reported the case in October and November 1954 as part of the French wave. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
