On 17–18 November 1954, Project Blue Book head Capt. Charles Hardin and Allen Hynek travel to Ent AFB in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the site of today's US Olympic Training Center. There they meet Col. John M. White Jr., commander of the 4602nd Air Intelligence Service Squadron (AISS). The purpose of the visit is to help out with a guide for investigating and processing UFO reports. White documents the meeting in his "Report of Visit of ATIC Representatives" of 23 November 1954, preserved in the squadron's unit history for the first half of 1955. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
