Background
At 2:00 a.m. on November 29, 1954, José Ponce and Gustavo Gonzáles were driving a panel truck along Calle Bella Vista in Petare, Caracas, when a 10-foot glowing ball hovering 6 feet above the street blocked their way. A dwarfish creature covered with stiff hair confronted them and threw Gonzáles aside when he grabbed it; Ponce ran to find a police station. Gonzáles tried to stab a third creature with his knife, but the blade glanced off, and a beam from a tube pointed at him from inside the object paralyzed and temporarily blinded him. A doctor at the Esquina de Sálas hospital treated an abrasion on his left side, and other witnesses to a UFO in the area came forward. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
