Fifty residents of Lima, Peru, watched a flight of five iridescent silver UFOs. The observation lasted at least five minutes. It was reported by La Nación in Lima on 31 December 1954 and by the Hartford Courant on 1 January 1955, and Loren E. Gross includes it in his history of the 1954 sightings. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
