Cenon-sur-Vienne: Moped rider encounters suited being
On September 19, 1954, at 10 p.m., Yves David experienced engine trouble and a tingling sensation while riding south of Cenon-sur-Vienne, France. A small figure in a diving suit approached, touched him, spoke incomprehensibly, and returned to a 9-foot object that emitted green light before departing.
Background
Witness and Circumstances
Yves David, aged 28, was riding his moped at 22:00 on the D-1 road south of Cenon-sur-Vienne, France. His lights suddenly failed and he felt an electric tingling through his body that left him unable to move.
Encounter with the Being
An object about 2.7 metres long appeared ahead of him on the road. A small figure in a diving suit-like garment emerged from it and came toward him. The being touched David on the shoulder, made unintelligible sounds, and went back to the object.
Departure and Aftermath
The object lit up green, briefly dazzling David, and took off rapidly. The paralysis then ended. The incident occurred during the intense French UFO wave of 1954 and is documented in several sources, among them Aimé Michel and Patrick Gross. No physical traces were reported, but the witness account is consistent.
