Background

At 12:15 a.m. on May 14, 1955, M. Droguet entered the courtyard of the girls' college where he lived in Dinan, Côtes-du-Nord, France. As he closed a metal door, a bluish-green beam of light shone on him, briefly blinding him and leaving him frightened and unable to move. He then saw a large craft hovering motionless about five feet above the courtyard with a faint vibration but no sound, and two small beings in metallic gray one-piece suits with bulky helmets, gloves and a dark box at the abdomen, who moved slowly about and picked up objects from the ground. After several minutes they climbed a metallic ladder into a circular opening beneath the craft; the ladder retracted, and the craft rose silently to rooftop height while rotating rapidly, its lights went out, and it departed. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
