Background
Four people on the beach at Los Caracas, Venezuela, watched a pulsating red light fly out from behind a hill and land in the sea. It vanished but was later seen floating on the surface. Thinking an airplane had crashed, one of the witnesses tried to reach the spot with some other men in a motorboat, but the engine failed. The Coast Guard, which conducted a 15-hour search for the object, had to tow the boat back to shore the following day. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
