Springfield, Illinois: Cigar UFO with portholes, car stalls, traffic lights seem affected

At 11:30 p.m. a cigar-shaped UFO with lighted portholes was seen by two witnesses in the southwest part of Springfield, Illinois. The car driven by one of the witnesses quit, and the UFO seemed to affect the traffic lights as well. The object looked slightly smaller than a blimp. After about 30 seconds it moved straight up and disappeared. The account follows the entry in George M.
