Background

At 10:15 p.m. Ina Salter was driving on Redding Road toward Georgetown when she saw a cigar-shaped object, given as about 10–15 feet, hovering low to the left of the road. It had 3–4 portholes about 18–20 inches in diameter, lit with a yellowish light, and she could see shadows moving inside. The object had a large square opening on its base. As she approached, it suddenly rose straight up, hovered for a second or two at treetop height, then sped away parallel to the ground. Eberhart cites the APRO Bulletin (March 1962). The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
