Kansas City, Kansas: Power plant workers see four thin discs in box formation flip on edge
At 8:15 a.m. on May 23, 1957, four employees of the Quindaro Power Plant in Kansas City, Kansas, watched four round bluish-silver objects in box formation flip on edge, turn and fly off northwest.
Background
At 8:15 a.m. on May 23, 1957, John Campbell, Theodore Cox, Arthur Wilson and Clarence Barnett, employees of the Quindaro Power Plant in Kansas City, Kansas, observed four round, bluish-silver objects flying in a box formation at an estimated 300–500 mph. The rear pair suddenly flipped on edge, made a tight turn and headed northwest; the lead pair followed, accelerated, rejoined them and resumed formation before the group disappeared. One object showed a red glow on top like a neon sign; seen on edge, the objects appeared extremely thin, made no sound and left no trail. A TWA Constellation visible at about 2,000 feet was much lower than the objects. The sighting lasted about 1½–2 minutes and was reported in the Kansas City Times and the APRO Bulletin. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
