Milford, Pennsylvania: Woman sees saucer over her barn with a man standing on its rim
Before sunrise one morning in May 1957, Frances Stichler, about to feed her chickens on Route 6 west of Milford, Pennsylvania, saw a bowl-shaped object with a broad rim hover about 15 feet above her barn, with a man in a gray helmet and shiny suit standing on the rim.
Background
Before sunrise Frances Stichler was about to enter her barn on Route 6, roughly four miles west of Milford, Pennsylvania, when a soft whirring sound made her look up. A bowl-shaped object with a broad rim, about 20 feet across, hovered into view about 15 feet above the barn roof, stopped in a slightly tilted position and remained for nearly a minute before moving off in a spinning, nearly horizontal arc to the southeast over a wooded hill. On the far side of the rim stood a man of average size in a light gray, tight-fitting helmet and a shiny suit of the same color, with deep-set eyes, a long face and a sun-tanned complexion; the two looked at each other the entire time. Stichler first felt surprise, then unease, as the whirring increased and the saucer departed; no air disturbance was observed beneath it. Eberhart cites two reports in the Pike County Dispatch of December 1957 and Loren E. Gross. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
