Background
At 12:25 a.m., USAF pilot 1st Lt. Robert S. Hipkins and alert center operator S/Sgt Raymond C. Henry, both of the 47th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, saw a circular, brilliant white object with six smaller pale-green lights on its perimeter at Niagara Falls Municipal Airport in New York. It moved slowly at constant altitude, made fast pivoting turns and maneuvered radically from southeast to northeast. After about 5β8 minutes it disappeared in a rapid, steep climb. A CPS-6B radar tracked it for 3 minutes. The case appears in the Condon report, in Brad Sparks's Blue Book unknowns list and in Martin Shough's RADCAT radar catalogue. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
