Nabouwalu, Fiji: Four Fijians in a punt see revolving object with a figure above the sea
During the day on October 8, 1957, four Fijians in a motor punt off Nabouwalu, Fiji, approached a white, circular object hovering about 20 feet above the ocean with the figure of a man standing on it; a blinding light left them dazed before the object rose straight up.
Background
During the day four Fijians in a punt with an outboard motor off Nabouwalu, Fiji, saw a white, circular object hovering about 20 feet above the ocean. They approached it; it appeared to be revolving, and they could see the figure of a man standing on the outside. The figure shone a blinding light at their boat, which made them feel dazed and weak. As they drew closer, the figure disappeared and the object rose rapidly straight up. At the same time R. O. Aveling, an official of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, saw a similar object hovering at about 5,000 feet at a different location, swinging like a balloon and changing color from bright white to deep, flashing red. Eberhart cites the Fiji Times of October 11 and 17, 1957, and later press and research reports. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
