Background

Everett Orain Clark, 12, let his dog Frisky outside and saw an object like an elongated egg in a field 300 feet from his house. Twenty minutes later he saw Frisky with other dogs close to the object; walking toward it, he saw two men and two women, apparently dressed normally, one of whom tried to catch the dog. They spoke a language that sounded like German to him and entered the craft, seemingly walking right through its wall. Journalist Carson Brewer returned to the site with Clark and found an "oblong ring of pressed grass" 24 by 4.5 feet. In the afternoon engineer Wallace Russell Gambill and physicist N. D. Greene of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory collected soil samples and checked for radiation, finding none. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
