Background

At 10:00 p.m. John Boucher, a policeman in Kodiak, Alaska, saw a red ball of fire with a greenish-yellow trail while patrolling on Mission Road. It apparently moved about 50 feet above a nearby school. When he tried to radio in a report, his radio had interference for two minutes after the sighting. Alaskan newspapers, the APRO Bulletin and NICAP's UFO Investigator reported the case during the November 1957 wave. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
