Background

At 4:00 p.m. some chemical workers at Shimada, Japan, saw a bright object land. They claimed that beings fell from the sky without parachutes, wore strange suits and spoke an unknown language. The only source is a short report, "They Are Landing in Japan, Too", in Flying Saucer Review (May/June 1958); no investigation is mentioned. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
