United States: Keyhoe on ABC's Mike Wallace Interview, Senate shows no hearing interest
On March 8, 1958, Donald E. Keyhoe appeared on ABC's The Mike Wallace Interview, where Wallace said Assistant Secretary of the Air Force Richard E. Horner had told his producers that the Senate Committee showed no interest in hearings.
Background
Keyhoe appeared on ABC's The Mike Wallace Interview and mentioned the Estimate of the Situation, Fournet's motion study and the CIA Robertson Panel. Wallace surprised him by saying that Assistant Secretary of the Air Force Richard E. Horner had told his producers that the Senate Committee "show no interest in any hearings," which was news to Keyhoe. Wallace also quoted from the recently released summary of the Robertson Panel. A few days later Keyhoe received two letters from the Senate Committee confirming that it "does not intend to investigate the United States Air Force." The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
