Detroit, Michigan: David Weaver sees circular domed object, reports it to the FBI
Early on 17 April 1958, David Weaver saw a circular object with a light-reflecting crystal-type dome pass over Detroit, Michigan; he notified Selfridge AFB and then the local FBI office.
Background
In the early morning of 17 April 1958, David Weaver saw a "circular object with a crystal-type dome that reflected lights" pass from southwest to north near the intersection of Lamphere Street and Six-Mile Road in Detroit, Michigan. He notified Selfridge AFB, which did not take him seriously, and then informed the local FBI office. The report is recorded in a memo by FBI Special Agent Robert Ross Reynolds dated 17 April 1958, contained in the PURSUE releases. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
