Trindade Island UFO Photographs
Background
On January 16, 1958, at around noon, many officers, sailors, and others sighted an unusual object from the deck of a Brazilian Navy training ship near Trindade Isle. Photographer Almiro Barauna captured a series of photos of the disc-shaped object.

The photos were analyzed by the Navy Photo Reconnaissance Laboratory and Cruzeiro do Sul Aerophotogrammetric Service, both confirming authenticity.
Significance
The Trindade photographs remain among the most valuable UFO photos ever taken.
