Digeliotika, Greece: Villagers see luminous disc circle, radios fail, roof tiles displaced
At 9:30 p.m. one night in February 1959, many residents of Digeliotika, Greece, saw a humming luminous disc circle the village for about 10 minutes; radios failed, power went out in one house, and roof tiles on the priest's house were found displaced.
Background
At 9:30 p.m. one night in February 1959, the people of Digeliotika, Greece, heard a humming noise coming from the direction of the sea. Many ran out of their homes and saw a luminous disc circling the village for about 10 minutes. Radios failed to operate, and the electrical current in one house failed completely. When the disc flew low over the house of the priest, Papa Costas, there was a loud noise and the whole house shook; the object then moved off to the west. An inspection of the house the next day showed that many roof tiles had been displaced and others lay on the ground. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
