On the night of 8 July 1959, Mrs. Napau Abednego and other indigenous residents of Prince of Wales Island in the Torres Strait saw a huge glowing red object land on a hilltop at Port Lihou; the same night a green object was reported from Thursday Island and a strange object from Mapoon Mission.

At night Mrs. Napau Abednego and other indigenous people on Prince of Wales Island in the Torres Strait off Queensland, Australia, saw a huge, glowing red object land on top of a hill at Port Lihou. The same night residents of nearby Thursday Island saw a green object flying low. A strange object was also reported at Mapoon Mission on the west coast of Cape York. Eberhart cites Loren E.
