Background

At 2:00 p.m. a son and his father were driving near Skiatook, Oklahoma. As they neared a bridge, the car engine died; another car was stopped on the other side of the bridge with its hood up. They saw a metallic, domed disc with a flexible hose hovering less than a foot above the water of a creek. They watched it for 5 minutes; then the hose drew in, and the disc rose to 10 feet, disturbing the water's surface into a foot-deep trench. It flew upward, and the cars started again. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
