Namsenfjorden, Norway: Dark object with windows glows red, explodes and falls into water
At 10:00 p.m. on a day in December 1959, Lorentz Johnsen saw a dark, silent object with a row of windows fly slowly toward Namsenfjorden, Trøndelag, Norway, descend, glow fiery red, explode with a crash and fall into the water.
Background
At 10:00 p.m. on an unspecified day in December 1959, Lorentz Johnsen saw a dark, silent object with a row of windows fly slowly by at an altitude of 500 feet, headed in the direction of Namsenfjorden, Trøndelag, Norway. It descended to about 160 feet, grew fiery red, then exploded with a crash and fell into the water. Johnsen said it looked as if a cover was torn off in one piece, like a 'curved sheet of metal.' The case is listed in Ole Jonny Brænne's 1995 IUR article 'Observations of Unidentified Submarine Objects in Norway'. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
