Norrtälje, Sweden: Photographer sees two objects reverse course; CIA takes note
Between 5:15 and 5:27 a.m. on 6 March 1960, photographer Esse Jansson of Norrtälje, Sweden, trying to photograph an expected satellite, saw two objects come from the north and completely reverse direction; one of his plates shows a third object, and the CIA noted the case.
Background
Photographer Esse Jansson of Norrtälje, Sweden, went out early in the morning to photograph an unidentified satellite termed "1960 Alpha," which was expected to pass the latitude of Stockholm heading south at about 5:25 a.m. Between 5:15 and 5:27 a.m. he saw two objects come from the north and move southeast; they resembled phenomena he had seen before, but these objects reversed direction completely. One of his plates shows a third object. The CIA took note of this case and of another mystery satellite seen from a Swedish airplane and reported in Dagens Nyheter on 8 March. Eberhart cites Dagens Nyheter, the CIA FDD Note 1107 of 17 March 1960, UFO-Nyt (1961), Weltraumbote (1961) and Clear Intent. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
